Experience DescriptionMany of us have sung songs or hymns in church that didn’t quite fit our theology, our language for God, or didn't hold our hope for peace and redemption of the world. What we sing shapes what we believe, and who feels like they belong. This interactive session invites worship leaders, musicians, and seekers into a thoughtful and creative conversation about choosing and writing worship music with inclusive, expansive language for the church. Together, we’ll explore how lyrics can move beyond limiting or harmful metaphors and instead reflect the peace, justice, and wide love of Christ. Participants will share experiences, reimagine familiar phrases, and even collaborate on writing a simple chorus together. Whether you lead worship regularly or simply care about the songs we sing, you’ll leave with fresh ideas, practical tools, and a renewed vision for worship music that makes room for all.
