Experience DescriptionThis workshop explores the powerful ways patriarchy shapes how we see, judge, and live in our bodies. Together, we’ll unpack the cultural messages that teach us whose bodies are valued, whose are controlled, and whose are ignored. Through storytelling, reflection, and honest conversation, participants will begin to recognize how these systems shape what we see in the mirror. Sarah Renfro is a former model turned ordained minister who has written and spoken on body image to audiences of all kinds. Chris Furr is the author of the book Straight White Male, which explores the legacy of patriarchal white supremacy. Together, they will lead a presentation and conversation on our bodies, and the ghosts that haunt the reflections we see in the mirror.
