| Title Short | Walking meditation in nature |
| Venue | Convo Table 02 |
| Experience Description | I will speak briefly about experiencing God in nature beyond words, and the possibility that nature could be a sacred text of revelation speaking to us beyond words through what we see here feel taste, touch and sense, spiritually. I will mention Celtic spirituality as a way of seeing God in all things. The poetic tradition has use the language of of the imagery from nature is evidenced by the poems of Mary Oliver, Robert Frost and others. After an introduction and the mindfulness practice, we will begin walking on the land of the Van Hoy Farms. We will learn the process of walking meditation as we practice it in nature inviting people to use their 5 (or 6) senses, opening ourselves to what nature might be revealing to us in the very present moment through the things that we see hear touch smell taste, and and feel spiritually—Not thinking too much, but allowing nature & the flow of the spirit through all things to present us with some something perhaps beyond words. There will be some time for people to reflect and share their experience in nature. People may choose also to go up further and to put their experience into art, color, music, lyrics, poetry, movement. |
