    Title ShortSpeed Friending
    Venue Slippery Slope
Experience DescriptionWhat happens when we slow down long enough to truly see one another—even in just a few minutes? We are living in a time of deep division—when it can feel easier to retreat into our own circles than to reach across difference. At the same time, many people are experiencing profound loneliness and disconnection, even while surrounded by others. This interactive session invites participants to gently challenge that isolation through guided “speed friending,” a series of short, meaningful one-on-one conversations designed to spark curiosity, deepen empathy, and rebuild our capacity for human connection. Through thoughtful prompts and intentional listening, we’ll practice approaching one another with openness rather than assumption, curiosity rather than judgment. Participants will discover how even brief conversations can restore a sense of belonging, spark our curiosity, and remind us of our shared humanity. This experience is welcoming to everyone—whether you’re outgoing or reserved, feeling deeply connected or quietly isolated. Come as you are, and leave with new perspectives, unexpected connections, and practical tools for fostering curiosity, empathy and belonging in an increasingly fragmented world.
