| Experience Description | Table Talk: Jesus and a Modern Christian: A compelling conversation between Jesus and an American Christian about faith, choices, and the call to love others.
I will lead a post-performance discussion to help people stop talking and start listening.
The discussion questions:
Jesus keeps repeating “Love God, love others.” What might that actually look like in our daily lives, not just in theory?
Chris ties his faith to politics and control. Where do we see that same struggle in our culture—or even in ourselves?
Jesus emphasizes service, humility, and mercy instead of power or winning. How does that challenge the way churches and Christians often act?
Chris prefers a faith that costs him nothing. Why do you think an “easy” version of Christianity is so appealing? What’s the danger in it?
When has following Jesus felt “too hard” or “impossible” for you personally? How did you respond?
If you were in Chris’s place, how would you have answered Jesus?
Is there a difference between believing in Jesus and actually following him? How would you explain that difference to someone else?
Even though Chris walks away, the invitation of Jesus remains open to all of us. How do we respond? |
