Kate Thomas is a multidisciplinary artist by night and a digital and visual designer by day, supporting cause-related work. As a visual art coach, she has led workshops at DC Climate week, ArtFarm Annapolis, at Wild Goose, and with church congregations in Maryland to deepen personal and community connections. She invites participants to follow their creative curiosities, stand in wonder at the wisdom within, and find healing through artful self-expression.

    Experience DescriptionIn this workshop, you're invited to embroider a pocket or make a piece of mixed media art that will be your own small piece of a much larger dream. This workshop is part intuitive watercolor, part poetry, part basic embroidery, all made as a gift for a stranger. Participants can contribute their embroidered pockets and art to a collaborative hope skirt, or sew pockets to their own outfits to spread the joy. This is a skirt sewn by a community that believes hope is contagious and kindness is more common than we think. No experience necessary, just bring a willingness to explore.
